Hey Folks! My name is Mike Rood. I am the owner and sole operator of Squeegee Clean window cleaning service based out of Maplewood, Missouri. I have called St. Louis home on and off since first moving here in 2014 to serve with AmeriCorps St. Louis – Emergency Response Team. It was a transformative experience that allowed me to travel across the United States performing service work in the fields of Disaster Response, Wildland Firefighting, and Conservation. During that year I grew to love St. Louis for its rich culture and history and would routinely visit whenever I had the opportunity.
I went on to earn a Masters of Forestry Degree from Michigan Technological University in 2016. I then job hopped for a number of years across the country; working as a forester, wildland firefighter, arborist, and conservationist. I’m still trying to figure out what I would like out of a career. But in the meantime I enjoy operating my own business and making my customers happy. I live by this basic motto, “Leave it better than you found it.” I bring this attitude with me to each of my appointments and apply it to every aspect of my life.
